Yes. Our practice welcomes adults and children. Dr Simoné and Dr Lourens are general dentists, and Dr Simoné has a special interest in children’s dentistry.

When should my child first visit the dentist?

Arrange a first visit when your child’s first tooth appears, and no later than their first birthday. This is a useful opportunity to check early development and ask about brushing, feeding and caring for new teeth.

Your dentist will ask about your dental concerns and relevant medical history, examine your mouth and discuss the findings with you. X-rays may be recommended if needed. For children, the conversation also covers age-appropriate care and any concerns you have about their teeth or habits.

Please mention this when you book. You can also tell your dentist about any past experience or particular concern. We can discuss ways to help you feel more comfortable and explain what to expect.

Phone the practice and describe your symptoms. Mention swelling, fever, recent injury or pain that is affecting eating or sleep. For difficulty breathing or swallowing, or swelling around the eye or neck, seek immediate medical help.

Contact reception before your appointment to discuss fees, payment arrangements and medical-aid enquiries. Ask your scheme about your available benefits and any authorisation requirements; cover depends on your plan and the treatment involved.

Visit our New Patients page for the registration forms and preparation information. Bring a list of any medicines you take and tell your dentist about allergies, health conditions and changes since your last visit.

My experience at Dr. Simoné has been absolutely superb. The professionalism of all the staff has been excellent, all of the staff from nursing, admin and the dentist herself were friendly, respectful and professional. I am happy with the end result.
